This mattress protector is actually 100% cotton all the way through which makes it worth every penny as far as I am concerned. I once bought a quilt that was supposedly 100% cotton, but after several nights of getting hot I had a close look at all the tags and there was 40% silk in the stuffing. So I am always really pleased to find a 100% cotton product that really is 100 % cotton! Additionally to that this protector has straps. And these days with the amount of bed dressings with skirts is getting ridiculous. So a protector with straps is a gift. The protector was also the right weight - just thick enough to actually protect, but not so thick that the stuffing clumps up in the washing machine. Fantastic product Bedspread shop!! Excellent quality mattress protector. Pure cotton filling and lining mattress protectors with straps are hard to come by nowadays.
